Janice Selbie is a former fundamentalist turned counselor and advocate for those navigating religious de-conversion. Raised in a charismatic Christian home, she spent decades immersed in Pentecostal and Mennonite traditions, homeschooling her children and rejecting secular influences. In her 40s, growing doubts led her to leave both her faith and marriage, setting her on a path of transformation.
She earned a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling and founded the “Divorcing Religion Workshop”, helping others process religious trauma, rebuild community, and embrace a fulfilling secular life. Janice is passionate about guiding people through the grief of de-conversion and empowering them to move forward with confidence.
