Cherie was raised in Saskatchewan and later studied Art, Dance, and Drama at the University of Calgary. She has taught multiple disciplines of dance, founded a production and musical theatre company, and taught art at both the elementary and high school levels.

Cherie founded Studio On Water to create a beautiful space for art, music, writing, and creativity. Her main passion is acrylic and oil landscape painting. Last year, she travelled to Italy to take master classes in drawing, figure painting in oils, and landscape painting in watercolours, and she looks forward to offering new classes at Studio On Water this year.
